October Report: KD’s Support for Ukraine’s Military

Reports
17 November 2024

October was a busy period for the Kyiv Defenders team. We were actively working to support our defenders and implement projects in cooperation with our partners. Below we describe in detail the key achievements of the month:

Frontline Visits

Frontline Visits

In October, the team made three visits to the defenders. We delivered aid directly to the frontline, met with defenders to provide them with the necessary equipment and support. These visits allowed us to respond promptly to the military's urgent needs and ensure our assistance was impactful.

#KDCars Project

#KDCars Project

As part of the #KDCars project, 9 vehicles were delivered to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. These vehicles are already actively assisting in combat missions, providing mobility and support on the front line.

Media Coverage

This month, the team's activities were featured in several leading media outlets, including an interview on Kyiv FM's "Third Sector" programme and coverage by Vechirniy Kyiv. This media presence helped raise awareness about our initiatives and attract additional support.

Fundraising Success

We successfully closed a fundraiser for warm clothes and equipment for the military, raising 30,000 UAH. These funds ensured our defenders were prepared for the cold months ahead. A portion of the supplies was delivered directly into their hands.

In addition, a charity wine-tasting event helped raise 16,000 UAH to support the purchase of attack drones. We sincerely thank all participants for their contributions!

Auction for Defence

The team held an auction to further support the defenders. Thanks to all contributors, we raised additional funds to provide critical supplies and ensure the military could effectively perform their tasks.

Joint Projects with Partners

Kyiv Defenders collaborated with organisations such as "Narodna Samooborona Lvivshchyny" and IT company DataArt to deliver medical equipment and supplies to the military. Our longstanding partners at Ukraine Helfer also provided vehicles and other necessary items for the defenders. Together, we are making a difference.
