Report for July 2025

For us, July was marked by systematic support and important milestones.

This month, we celebrated three years of the ‘Kyiv Defenders’ NGO — three years of fighting side by side with our defenders, partners and donors every single day.

Our team continues to work actively on the ground: in July, we undertook working trips to the Kharkiv and Donetsk regions to personally deliver essential supplies and equipment directly to the soldiers on the front line.

The main achievement of the #KDtaчки project was the handover of five vehicles to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which are already providing units with critically important mobility and operational capability.

In addition to the vehicles, we fulfilled a range of requests tailored to the needs of 15 units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Among the items delivered were generators, charging stations, drone detectors, Starlink equipment, paramedic rucksacks, tools, medical supplies, hygiene products and food.

July was a month rich in recognition and significant events. Our foundation’s CEO, Iva Koshova, received an award from the Ukrainian military. Kyiv Defenders also won an honourable mention in the ‘Charity in the Defence of Ukraine’ category as part of the national ‘Charitable Kyiv Region 2024’ competition. This recognition reflects the daily contribution of our entire community.

We continue to actively develop our public and educational activities. Our team took part in an interview with Doualy Xaykaothao from The Lawrence Herbert School of Communication, during which we discussed the challenges we face and the principles guiding our work. An article about our three years of work and our plans for the future was published in the online magazine ‘Rubrika’. In addition, we spoke as part of the educational programme ‘Leadership for the Recovery of Donetsk Region’, where we discussed how to build sustainable processes within a voluntary organisation.
