NGO Kyiv Defenders at the Networking under Chestnuts event: Youth networking for development and change
Last week, Kyiv Defenders joined the series of youth networking events ‘Networking under Chestnuts’, organised by the European Democracy Youth Network Ukraine and the Kyiv City Youth Council. The event, which took place at the Ukrainian-Danish Youth House in Kyiv, brought together active youth, public figures and representatives of various youth organisations from all over Ukraine, creating a platform for the exchange of ideas, experiences and establishing new partnerships.
During the Networking under Chestnuts, participants had the opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions about the challenges faced by young people in the social and political life of Ukraine. The main issues discussed at the meeting were support for youth initiatives, active protection of youth rights and preservation of independent civic institutions.
Such topics as leadership development, social activism and civic responsibility are extremely important for young people who want to participate in shaping the future of their country. Representatives of *Kyiv Defenders* shared their experience in organising effective projects aimed at supporting the Ukrainian army and developing a volunteer culture among young people.
Youth networking, especially in the format of events such as Networking under the Chestnuts, is an important tool for establishing new contacts, sharing ideas, and building partnerships. Participation in such events opens up opportunities for young people to influence changes in society, implement their own projects and find like-minded people.
We are very grateful to the organisers for the opportunity to be part of such an important initiative.
Kyiv Defenders plans to continue to take an active part in similar events and look for opportunities to cooperate with young people and other organisations. They see this as an important step towards strengthening civil society and expanding their activities. Each new event, such as Networking under the Chestnuts, creates opportunities to share knowledge, support youth leaders, and implement socially important projects.
