Kyiv Defenders at the forum ‘Kyiv City Workshop 3.0: The City That Holds Together’!
This autumn, our Kyiv Defenders team joined the landmark city forum ‘Kyiv City Workshop 3.0: The City That Holds Together’ for the second time! This event, organised by the Department of Public Communications of the Kyiv City State Administration and the Communication Centre, became a real, powerful space for bringing together active citizens, volunteers and representatives of the public sector.

During a full-scale war, the role of public initiatives has grown exponentially. That is why our mission at the forum was not only to talk about our volunteer work on the front lines, but also to share practical tools for effective work in conditions of constant challenges.
We were happy to share our experience by giving a lecture on the extremely relevant topic: ‘How to build a strong charitable brand in wartime.’ The participants learned about the specifics of communication in crisis situations, the need for absolute transparency, and how to motivate thousands of people to provide constant support despite their own fatigue from the war. We emphasised the importance of two-way communication: when the rear not only sends aid but also feels a close connection with the front line.
It was a great opportunity not only to talk about our work, our trips with #KDCars and closed critical requests, but also to communicate with other caring people, representatives of foundations, and exchange valuable experiences. Platforms such as ‘City Workshop’ are an important element in strengthening the sustainability of our capital and the country as a whole. They prove that Kyiv is a city that has not only survived but also consolidated its active potential.

We express our sincere gratitude to the organisers — the Department of Public Communications and the Communication Centre — for such an important event and for the opportunity to be a part of it.
And, of course, our boundless gratitude goes to our Defenders, thanks to whose fortitude and courage we have the opportunity to build, develop and support our city. The rear works thanks to the Front!
